Melissa has loved helping others her whole life and psychology has been her favorite subject since she first went to college. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Siena University in 2017 and went on to get a Master’s degree in I/O psychology in 2020 from Baker College. After this she felt she was being called to work in Christian counseling and was blessed to be given an internship here at Masterpeace where she will be finishing her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, graduating in September of 2025.
Melissa’s therapeutic approach varies in order to best meet the client's needs and may include many different theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, or Reality Therapy. Melissa believes faith is a part of our morals and helps to form who we are. She loves being able to incorporate Christian values such as faith and hope into sessions and would be happy to include scripture and/or prayer into the client's session if they so wish.
Melissa is a Student Intern supervised at Masterpeace Counseling by Stephen May, LPC, and the Field Placement Office at Capella University.
